Why Give

WHY GIVE TO CASA
HOW WILL YOUR DONATION HELP?
Your donation to CASA of Cook County will directly impact the life of a child who has experienced abuse and neglect. CASA relies on donations in order to recruit, train, and supervise volunteer CASA Advocates who ensure the children receive needed services, are not further abused, and find a safe, permanent home. By funding CASA, you are saving Cook County tens of thousands of dollars.
A year of CASA advocacy costs $2,000, which is one third the cost of a year of foster care.

Furthermore, the outcomes for children who have a CASA volunteer are well documented: In 2018, there were no child deaths in Illinois when a CASA volunteer was appointed. In addition, children assigned a CASA volunteer spent a shorter amount of time in foster care, were less likely to reenter protective custody, and had better outcomes in terms of education, physical well-being, and mental health.
